Who coaches BNGSA travel teams?

We have a wide variety of coaches, including former college athletes (at all divisions), paid non-parents, females, and parents.

One of our paid positions is a Director of Coaching who helps coaches develop practice plans, provides feedback, brings in college coaches for exclusive BNGSA coach clinics, and oversees player development.

Who selects the assistant coaches?

In most cases, the head coach who is approved by the BNGSA Travel Board selects his/her staff. The Board may work with the head coach to connect the team with assistants coaches with backgrounds that fit the team's needs.

Why are some BNGSA teams named Angels and some are not?

The Angels brand is for our top-tier teams in each birth year. Our goal is to have players on these teams who have a strong desire to compete at a high level with aspirations of playing in college. BNGSA has sent players to all divisions (D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and Junior College) from Angels' and non-Angels' teams.
